How do you attach under hood safety straps for carrying car top kayaks?

Our 2010 had a specific spot for attaching these straps. Can't find anything
similar on the new model.

Yeah, that's a tough one. We sea kayakers here in New England HATE all the 2010+ OBs because of that inane OE roof rack, much preferring the sturdier, longer (38.5" c-to-c doesn't even require bow and stern lines!) ones from 2000-2009. I've a '13 OB that I truck two narrow (21"w) 17+ft 'yaks on, but they're 51 lbs each and so far ok w/o lines up to 80mph. But that's on compliant Malone seawings. If you've got heavy (60lb+) rec (24+") yaks I don't have an answer for you.
