Acceleration intermittently stops while depressing gas pedal
My 2016 Forrester with ~114k miles has started having an
issue with the acceleration where I'll be driving fine and all
of a sudden while pressing the gas pedal I just start losing
acceleration. If I keep the pedal pressed it doesn't start
moving, but if I take my foot off the gas for even a second
and press again it starts moving again like there is no
issue. There are no sounds other than normal engine
revving when this happens and no lights on the dash come
up.
I brought it in to the dealer, and after about a week they
couldn't reproduce or diagnose the issue but after less than
50 miles when I got it back it started happening again.
Anyone else have this issue? Anyone know what it could be
or how to fix it? I did see a similar issue on here when I
searched it but that was a 2013 sonata so I'm not sure if it
could be the same problems since it's a different make and
model.
