epc/check engine light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i change my spark plus and air filter and cleaned the throttle body it was dirty
in my 2016 jetta and now the epc light is on and the check engine light is on?
what should i do now i am not sure how to fix was told it could be throttle body   
system coil pack and the gas petal sensor what should i do? don't have the
money to pay someone i am  doing all the repairs myself?

Have an OBD hooked up and see what the engine codes are. You can have it done for free at most parts stores.

Thank you I did and it said it was missing on cylinder 2 and 3 and multiple misfires it turned out the sparks plug I bought that were supposed to be pre gapped were not the correct gap for my engine! Thank you!
