Asked by GuruP6Z6T Jan 26, 2020 at 10:19 PM about the 2001 Ford Ranger Edge 2 Door RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I start the 2.5 litre in the morning and it idles fine until engine temperature
reaches a certain level and then a rough idle occurs often motor will shut down
at a stop light. It is a standard transmission. After startup again it runs ok. Ford
Mechanic told me that this is the lower intake gasket. Any ideas?
