2016 Silverado 2500hd

Asked by Brian0860 Jul 16, 2018 at 07:18 PM about the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LT Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: General

I put my truck into reverse Friday night and it did
not go into reverse. Did not go into any forward
gears either. Got 6 codes thrown by the computer.
One of which being “lost contact with ECM”. What
would cause this. Dealership can’t find the problem.
Truck is only 19 months old. 24,000 miles.

Did you check to see if there's any open recalls. Is there a warranty? The dealership has to figure it out. Is this the first time? May have to contact the manufacturer and speak with a lemon law attorney.

Dealership is trying to recreate the problem. No listed recalls. Yes this is the first time. Happened three times Friday evening. Yes it should be under warranty. I had a guy tell me tonight he thinks it’s the TCM Module
