2016 malibu premier getting horrible gas mileage

I have a 2016 chevy malibu premier, that I just
purchased from the vroom dealership, it has 76,000
miles and perfect car!! The only thing is, is that my fuel
mileage is horrible, it says I am getting 13.4 mpg in the
city and the fuel gauge goes down about and 1/8 of a
tank almost every day, and I don't drive more than
maybe 8 miles a day!! Thinking maybe air filter, plugs
and o2 sensors, what do you guys think?

You might be looking at a transmission problem. If the transmission is not shifting properly, that will kill your gas mileage. Believe it or not if the vehicle just had a tune up before you bought it the spark plugs may need to be broken in before you start getting the best gas mileage. Sounds strange but I've seen it happen. Sometimes you actually lose gas mileage after a tune up until after the first couple thousand miles. It may also be your driving habits too. If you accelerate hard away from stop lights and drive at very high speed on the expressway, that will cut into your gas mileage too. Hope that helps! Jim
