Does the check engine light come on and stay on? Have you checked the car for stored trouble codes? The V6's are known to have a blocked air passage in the engine between the EGR valve and intake manifold to the block. There is a repair kit available for this, and that could be your problem, I just can't remember which years of the car were involved, but you can google that. Have you checked for spark at any of the plugs?
