1998 honda civic ex coupe d4 flashing and check engine on

98 civic ex coupe automatic just past
inspection last month never had a problem
with vehicle. about aweek ago i stoped at a
stoplight and d4 started flashing and check
engine came on and would barely
accelerate. I turned car off and turned back
on and worked fine no flashing d4 .however
did show codes p0700 and p0758 .I
changed the shift solenoid, car drives fine
no problems however. Check engine light
came back on and d 4 flashes constantly
now and nowit showing four code
p0700,p0758,p01758,andp1298 checked
fuses and connections they are fine.DO i
need to replace my pcm? Somebody please
help, single dad on workers comp, trying to
fix problem myself.

Code p0700: Transmission problem (not specific) Code p01758: Torque converter problem Code p01298: Electric load high voltage circuit Is the car running O.K.? You don't want to have to spend money that you need. For now, try to clear computer by removing the positive terminal in the battery, wait about 15 minutes and replace it. This should clear the codes and then watch to see what happens. If the check engine light comes back on, I am afraid that you have problems that must be fixed to avoid bigger damage. Another CarGuru with personal experience with this problem may reply with a better suggestion.
