Transmission slipping in 3rd gear on a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cab

My truck hesitates when it goes uphill in 3rd
gear acts like it is slipping I believe but
when you let off the gas a little it tries to
pick up like it's going to go I know I want to
know what is wrong with it and what I need
to do a new transmission or can I fix it
cheaper

That's how the 4l60e goes, you lose 3rd and 4th gear. Time for a rebuild
