03 Ford Explorer Sport

Asked by Krystal Mar 07, 2016 at 09:11 AM about the 2003 Ford Explorer Sport 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm having a problem with my 03 explorer to
start. I started it up and backed it out of
carport, turned car off to load stuff and now
it wont start. Everything cranks over, dash
lights work, door open key in sounds great,
but it  just won't start.

Need to determine if there is spark first, then if there is the proper fuel pressure.

I'm under the assumption that if the truck is parked on a hill or incline, there could be a fuel flow issue leading to the fuel pump.

Only if the gas tank is low, otherwise the fuel pump is still a pump that creates pressure, as long as it is submerged in fuel.
