The Honda Passport does not have a dipstick to check the oil. Look under the vehicle on the passenger side and you will see that the transmission has two plugs. The lower one is the drain plug and the upper one is the fill plug. To check the level, you will have to stick your finger in the upper hole and the fluid should be right at the edge of the bottom of the opening, you have to do this with engine running and the vehicle in park. If you need to fill it, use a long clear tubing, attached a funnel to the upper part to pour the fluid. With the engine running, shift all gears and then put it in Park, leave engine running. Place a pan under the transmission, remove the plug and insert the tube into the opening and slowly pour the fluid until it drips out the opening. Shift through all gears again and repeat the process until it is full. fluid. Do not forget to replace the plug. When checking the fluid level with your finger, remember that it is hot, do not stick finger inside the hole!! This is how my friend does it. Hope it works for you.
