Asked by Justin May 22, 2016 at 08:42 PM about the 1999 Honda Accord EX V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I start to drive my car it's starts to go and
then when it supposed to go to second gear it
seems to go into neutral for a sec then jump into
second and so on. I am throwing a code for torque
converter open or shorted.Could it just be
replacing the solenoid or full rebuild?

he best thing to do is have it scanned for code then you'll know. Next if its high mileage 120,000K plus likely transmission time. hows the fluid look burnt?
