just had new struts put on and my front end is still making knocking sounds worse than before. any ideas?

Your van has sway bar links that attach to the strut, and the sway bar. When changing struts these should be changed as well since they often get ruined during the removal process. If they put the same ones back on, 90% of the time you will get the knocking/clunking noise.
