One mechanic says that piston 3 needs to be replace, another mechanic says that it's off a thread wen installed..which one?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

First mechanic says that piston 3 went out
and needs to be replaced..a second opinion
said it may be the spark plug is off thread
wen it  was installed, and that's the reason
for the  engine sound/ running like that, cuz
the spark plugs aren't getting the right
pressure..

Try pouring some alcohol on the sparkplug (with engine COLD) and see if it disappears by the sparkplug. Do you hear puffs from the area when engine is running?

All you have to do is a compression test. If the threads are messed up then yes, the plug is not seating properly and the cylinder cannot build up proper compression. Possible the threads are messed up.
