Do you mean it stutters and then stalls out? Hondas are prone to a relay failure. There are 2 of them under the dash, and one or both tend to "over heat" and start erratic running and/or starting problems. I would start first with a fuel pressure test, a regulator check and a fuel filter change, unless you know when the filter was last changed. It could possibly also be a failing fuel pump .
My car gets hot it won't start when it cools off it wants to start but puts out.
