I am the original owner of a 2000 Expedition 4X4 Eddie Bauer edition.

Does the air bag system require any maintenance by a Ford dealer?

I don''t know of any recalls so it should be good. Based on you being the only owner and/or know it was never in an accident where it deployed. Some shops were replacing them with substandard bags.
