Cooling system problems!

Asked by Jason Feb 12, 2022 at 11:51 AM about the 2016 Kia Soul EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello. A deer was hit in my 2016 Kia Soul. It appears my
radiator has bent slightly on the driver side and it seems
to be leaking from the top right corner where there's some
sort of bolt with rubber stoppers and a hose connected to
the back of the corner. There's another bolt of the same
kind on the other side that looks like it. I noticed the
coolent was low so I put in coollent and stop leak and let it
sit overnight. After driving for 20 min today my car said it
was overheating and then the guage went to below C and
check engine light is on. I noticed smoke coming from the
top corner of the radiator where the leak appears to be
also I noticed the stop leak grey sealent stuff around that
area of the top driver side corner of radiator. There was no
visible loss of fluid in the fluid level after the 20 min drive
and also my heat does not work as well. Please help.

Also after the 20 min drive my radiator cap wasn't even hot to the touch it wasn't even hardly warm.
