Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This problem happens without warning. I'll be driving lose power and try to restart. I can get it to turn over most times, but once I put it in gear and give it gas it cuts out again. I've replaced the plugs, the fuel pump, fuel regulator, fuel filter, the distributor...at this point we're stumped.

i was having problems very similar to you. i baught a product called sea foam. i but 3/4 of the bottle in my gas tank and the other 1/4 i sucked up with a vacum hose off the engine. been 2 weeks now and the problems seems to be gone. btw rev the engine up really high while you put the stuff in with the vacum hose

That wouldn't be the problem I think that maybe the fuel injectors are indeed clogged up with debris because when i was replacing the fuel tank the tank was covered in rust and had cleaned out but i still think there is debris in the injectors that is causing it to not receive fuel causing it to not idle or drive at all.
