2010 Nissan Altima won't accelerate

I have a 2010 Nissan Altima 3.5 while is in parking
and neutral accelerate just fine, but when put in
drive or reverse I push the pedal to the floor but
won't go over 2000 rpm and won't move at all any
idea...?

Anyone learn anything on this one? I am just now having the exact same problem.

Mine seems to be the transmission, Im now looking for one.

Well, I found out my issue. Went to check engine fuses and found some engine harness wires were chewed-up overnight by a rat. A very hungry rat with dreams of a mansion nest building project.

it wound up being a blessing because insurance covers the rodent damage. So had them come pick it up

2011 Nissan Altima SL with 156,xxxish miles after being on the interstate after an hr my wouldn't go over 60 and when going up a hill it wouldn't go over 45. NO CHECK engine light. didnt use any extra gas either. about a week later the engine light came on and it was pulling a catalyst converter. after talking to a few people and getting it changed my car has been going well.
