1992 Honda accord compressor runs when i have the air off and when i press the ac button inside it doesnt light up anymore.

are you sure the compressor is on when air off. as the compressor is driving by engine and it is alway free turning. the compressor will be on when the ac clutch engage and the pump is turning. may be your compressor is not running thats why your ac is not lighting up or if you can feel the ac then the light in the ac switch is burn out. i think the light burn out is really unlikely
