Pontiac G6 3.5 error message on dash

Asked by SueBaker78 Aug 19, 2020 at 12:08 AM about the 2008 Pontiac G6 SE I4 Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Tonight my 2008 Pontiac G6 3.5 engine,
would not start. We tried boosting, pecking
the starter, and even another battery. Then
when we tried to start it and it said error on
the day board where the mileage usually is.
We tried to start it again and it showed the
mileage, but then when we tried the 3 rd time
it said error again on the dashboard where the
mileage should be. Please help us. My
husband is very sick and this is his only ride to
the dr.

Oh boy! Had the same problem and it took about 8 months to figure it out. We changed the body control module, then had it programmed. We somehow got it started and it ran for awhile but then died and would not start again. Had to get a new key, and it started and ran fine. Now today my battery is dead i think because it wont start. Im charging the battery now. I am so ready to trade in this pos! No recall and soooo many are having the same problem. Good luck!
