Will an engine from an automatic car work in a car that is manual

Yes ,as long as it is within a few years of the model and the same size engine.
The engine is 2.7 from a automatic 04 hyundai sonato and my car is a 6 speed manual 04 hyundai tiburon gt
Hmmm.... Hyundai sometimes.has a habit of not machining all their cranks to accept a manual pilot bearing. Automatic transmissions only need a shallow converter hub area and may not accept what you need for your stick pilot shaft support. Check it out with whatever engine you get as a replacement. Usually AT engines produce a little more power than MT engines (except in California).
These engines are made to accept pilot bearings even the automatics.
Good to know. Early Hyundais were one-offs and ever the factory had no idea. Glad to see that is behind them.... maybe.
Thanks so everything from one engine to the other will be interchangeable
