How many keys should a mercedes benz dealer give when we purchase a used car from them??

I got a used car from mercedes benz dealer 4 months ago. it is not a certified
car. They just gave me one key and said they only got one from the old
dealer. Isn't it their responsibility to provide  2 keys.Yesterday I had a
problem starting the car and the service guy at mercedes diagnosed key
issue. But my dealer says its not key issue and if i want I should purchase
my own new key. Its not fair. Please help???

I would have told them that a second set of keys was part of the deal but if you already signed then you don't have any leverage.

If I were you I would go to a different Mercedes dealership's service dept. and if necessary tell them your situation about not receiving 2 sets of keys...If you need further help after that call the Mercedes HQ???

If the car was financed, I've known some dealers to withhold the second set of keys in case they have to repo it. And if it comes up missing, someone on the inside probably stole it. That's not fair either.
