2006 C230 Mercedes Benze back passenger door not opening from outside.

Asked by tamsprocess Jan 19, 2019 at 03:16 PM about the 2006 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C 230

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The lock handle got pushed down
when I was washing the car. I
pulled it back up but it slid right up
& out. Would not screw back in. I
think an uber passenger may have
yanked to up. Anyway. Now the
door will open from inside but not
the outside. I checked for a safety
latch but no luck. Any ideas.

Well, here's an update. The post that the. Hand lock in the door got shoved under the door cover so once I pulled it back into place and screwed the handle back on the post tight in the door. worked because it wasn't stuck inside the hole holding it from going up. But thanks anyway. Another one to add to your bag of tricks.
