1996 chevy 5.7 liter

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck will start if I spray starting fluid or gas in
the throttle body, alot have said the ignition control  
module, the dealer said crank or cam sensor,but if
it was one of those the vehicle wouldn't start when
using starting either can any one help before I buy
this truck

First best to check fuel pressure and also could be dirty fuel injectors add fuel injector cleaner to gas tank and use middle or high test gas that is if you use the low grade gas all the time.

Also may want to take vehicle out on road and hit the passing gear a few times this will help clean out injectors and gum and carbon build up.
