why is no power in my gas pump?

my 94 1500 pick up had a gas pum replaced couple years ago and ytanny fail
i parked since now i wan to fix the tranny but wont start i checke fuses and
power block but still not gettin power in the wires to the pump
any advise/

i am 85 percent sure you need to change your ignition switch it is an electric box on top of your steering column
