2015 Impala Limited Tire Pressure Monitor False read

Asked by Guru1WQQM Aug 28, 2019 at 01:09 AM about the 2015 Chevrolet Impala Limited LTZ FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This is a 2nd question with a few more specifics.....Having difficulty with my
2015 Impala Limited (old style) LTZ with a bad left rear wheel speed sensor
At 91,000 miles
Sensor says I am at 23# & manual air gages 2 different ones say it is at at
34#.

Need advise on what some of the likely fixes are

On Aug 13th Driver Info Ctr read said it was at 27# & now 2 weeks later it
reads 23# so the signal is weaker and tire pressure is same 34#.
We had a 2 day rainy period before today when the low air pressure warning
light came on.
Wondering if the connector is shorting or is corroded??.
May take tire off and see if I can disconnect clean lube(w electric-cleaner) &
reconnect
Anyone have better ideas  Thx

Thx now understand Tire monitor is inside tire requiring dis/re-mounting and is different from wheel speed sensor issues

Was getting message on DIC it was LR tire down. It was the RF tire that was at 31# vs 35 recommended Prior Service Shop tech who did tire rotation failed to to update tire sensor by wheel location
