hesitation uphill

Two major problems I need help with. Recently
bought a 95 rodeo 6cyl. Auto Runs fine until I'm in
third gear traveling up a hill the engine bogs down
push gas pedal to the floor and nothing back off a
little bit it starts to shake and loses speed until it
shifts itself into second then won't shift back into
third until I let off gas or top the hill. Have noticed
oil in plug housings and original owner said it
needed new egr valve (which I cleaned) no check
engine light unless I'm on interstate but the light
comes on for trans oil temp then check engine
comes on. I can pull off interstate and take back
roads with no more problems. At least until I reach
a hill.

But the transmission shifts just fine on flats. And the only time the trans light comes on is when I use cruise on interstate. But I think that's because of a faulty helper fan but I'm no mechanic. And as for the rest of it body is great interior is great

Bc26 I'm having the same issues where you able to get it fixed I believe mine is the Cadillac converter but I'm not a hundred percent sure
