Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Drove home from work, 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan parked in garage for about
2 hours. Come back out 2 hours later, door was locked (didn't lock it), Tried to
start it, now it has the red light on dash, won't start, and has a loud noise right
front. Right front behind bumper area.  Lights are flickering. battery is fully
charged. I can't figure this out.

Is the red light on the dash a lightning bolt in the middle of 2 )(?

No it is a solid red dot . I found from a little more research, that was the security system. I disconnected both cables from the battery and crossed them for about an hour. Then reconnected them to the battery. That stopped the noise, the red light, and the lights flickering. Now it just won’t start. Doesn’t crank at all, all you hear is a click when the key is turned to “run”.

I just ran across a jeep wrangler with the same red dot, I switched the starter relay with another one, still nothing till I took the key and manually locked and unlocked the drivers door. Then it started right up.
