Static time it, use the service manual for research, you can obtain info free at the public library. you need the drawing provided for the cap, the firing order, and to know how the manufacturer numbers the cylinders. then remove #1 plug, find a suitable soft material to make a stopper for it, plug that hole, crank the engine, when it pops out with force, thats compression stroke. turn timing marks to TDC, install, point the rotor, line up any drive at distributor base. be observant. you cannot teach experience. Or ask help from a technician.
