My battery light is still on after I change battery and alenator

There is usually a fuse in the alternator circuit some where. Is there any warranty left on this vehicle? Don't discard the old battery as is may have run down from lack of recharge by the alternator. In fact the old alternator might be okay too if you find a burnt out fuse.

Where is the fuse

The fuse would be on the heavy red output wire/cable going to battery or power distribution box. Not sure of it's exact location as it varies from car to car.
