I have bought, sight unseen, a '17 Forester 2.5i repo with 7,500miles. The car comes from a reputable Subaru dealer and is being delivered to me.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
What major questions should I ask before handing over the check? The
obvious like has it been wrecked, I know. It is the subtle ones I have no idea
about. I may be buying a lemon, but I've looked two in the face and bought
them so obviously I am not a car gal.

I would make sure the title is clean and I would want to see the service record or at least a Carfax.
are you getting both factory keys? + what FOR is saying

Most of what you need is in the history report, title, pictures from dealer and then transporter.
I appreciate all of the input. CarGurus is amazing. You all are at the top of any guru list - of any kind. Anymore ideas or thoughts I can use Tuesday please share. I have one more day to ask questions of the salesman. No, I have not signed anything or written anything but I do have a verbal agreement as to PRICE. Nocargal3
Have them check the AC for leaks, just had my condenser replaced on my 2017 Forester Limited.
I have had my '17 Forester 2.5i 'repo' for 7 months now. It is a Subaru Certified Pre-owned. Carfax said no wrecks, title was clean, paid $20,500 - too much, I know-, got both factory keys. The interior has been redone in tan leather. Maybe previous owner slashed the stuffing out of the black cloth. I am happy about the tan leather. No leaks of any kind noticed on concrete, but will certainly have AC checked. It is very 'zippy' compared to the '16 Legacy Loaded I bought brand new. [Odessa hailstorm 07-14-17 totaled it, and all cars on lots in the area.] Great in town, but it rides like a very old, noisy, pickup on the hiwy. I cut up an old egg-crate mattress pad and put under the cargo liner; that cut down on some rattling. Subaru sure knows how to illustrate the adjective basic! Would love to have a new one, a grade or two above Basic, but reviews say they are way under powered. Don't want another car that can't get out of its own way! Thank all of you for your input. Thank you Car Gurus. Nocargal3
