Quick flashing turn signal

Asked by SimoA6 Oct 25, 2013 at 08:25 AM about the 2005 Jeep Wrangler X

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have 2005 Wrangler, quick flashing on left signal.  Front and front bumper lights work.  Rear tail light high intensity does NOT work for brake, hazard or turn.  Low intensity normal driving light works.  Changed bulb twice with known good bulbs, no effect.

Check rear bulb socket for voltage and ground while turn signal is on?

Checked voltage and there is voltage being applied when brake/signal are activated. Grounding out some where else?

If voltage is found in socket using both the power wire and the ground wire to that socket it is either a bad bulb socket or bad bulb connection. Did you use bulb grease when installing new bulb?

Tried a good known bulb with grease and one without.
