I know it was 5 years ago but for anyone else, I had the same problem. I could only drive it when I pushed the brake. Its simply the brake light sensor. I noticed that my brake lights were staying on even if my foot was off the brake. I looked under there and unplugged the sensor and sure enough, it ran just fine. I plugged it back in and it didn't run so that is the problem. A 10 dollar piece was the fix. It's a little white box above the brake petal, it has a black button that toughest the petal.
