Fuel pump issue

I have a 92 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4. 0 straight 6
and I have replaced the fuel pump 6 times I don't
know why the pump keeps going out and I don't
understand why the pump doesn't sit flat on the
bottom of the tank it's it's at an angle why is that
and what can I do to fix this issue.

Pump angle shouldn't matter. Do you ever run low on gas?

I found out that this particular fuel pump have a spring loaded assembly that it needs to be push down in order to align the o-ring gasket and to screw the plastic nut that keeos the fuel pump in place and seals it.
