Car electric system will not work when car off

Don't get me wrong. Here is what happens. Everytime I turn car on the
aftermarket stereo that came  with the car when i bought it used needs to
be reset as none of the stations stick. Also the original clock in the car
resets to 12.00 The dome light switches off automatically and the power
locks will not open or close. I think previous owner might had had a battery
draining problem and shut everything off to avoid it. I like my radio stations
or my cd playing where I left it at.

I did. It was missing a 15a blue fuse in a slot called room. And I found the reason for them taking it out. The stereo has a colorful display. Lights all over the place. Something your 1 to 17 year old would like. Light display stays on even when stereo is off (an invitation that screams come steal my stereo) and even after taking key off ignition. Now where do i go from here. You can even turn stereo on and off without needing the key on the switch.

Ok. I got it. Here is what happened.. The main to the stereo and memory power cable were connected together with the yellow and red from radio. I separated them and connected them individually. Of course being the kia main and memory cables one hot pink and the other one pinkish purple took 2 attempts but now is all good.

it sounds like the E.C.U fuse is blown. the ecu is basically the memory for your electrical stuff like radio presets and clock set.
