My engine light came on after filling up. Then it

If you use the low grade gas all the time try using the middle grade gas or better yet the high octane gas to help clean out the converter is converters.
My key broke for my 2005 Kia Rio so I hot- wired it and now it seems like the battery is dead or the starter doesn't work please help me
