Why is the 2018 xt5 the only car in which you cannot turn off the stop/start
feature ? other Cadillacs have a switch to control the stop/start. Why not
the xt5 ? Does Cadillac think that I do not have the sense to select whether
I want it on or off ? And they put a selector switch in the 2019 models.
I wish Cadillac would make it an option to permanently disconnect it, or
at least offer a solution. Makes me sorry I bought the 2018 xt5. I'm waiting
for some bright young fellow to figure how to do this, and offer a kit.

$140 defeat system already on the market for the XT5. The problem, (Typical Communism) Dr. Tao says, is that the stopping and restarting is rather intrusive. “You actually feel it restarting,” he said. “In terrible stop-and-go traffic this thing comes on and off constantly. In 20 minutes you can have 50 stop-and-start cycles. It can drive you totally insane.”
How does the owner fix or have it disconnected???

Go to ZIC on line to get your stop/ start switch. My 14 year old Great grand son put mine on our 2018 xt5 in ten minutes. Thats how easy it is with me watching him. It works perfect only $130.00 with a Three Year warranty. Bob Mountaintop PA.
