where is the fuel filter located

I do beleive it is in the fuel line running to the engine, either by the tank or on the inner fender. A hayes manuel will have pics and a procedure to follow, Best of luck.

Yes, it may be in either of those two places. Suggest calling a dealer service department, who can answer your question, as some manufacturers have started using in-tank filters which are not regularly serviced.
