I have a 2006 Lincoln Navigator when I was driving the low oil pressure light came on and the engine shut off. I added oil and the dip stick says it has the right amount but it still won't start.

You may have a defective oil pressure sender / switch. How much oil did you have to add and did the engine make any odd sounds when it shut off.

I didn't make any sounds when it shut off but there was a lighttick coming from good. I put 1 1/2 quarts in. Soon as oil pressure light came on I put oil in
