Question type: Maintenance & Repair

if I don't run the air condition my car doesn't overheat, but even while im not running the ac, when I park I have a coolant leak with a consistent drip leaving the reservoir about empty...ive taken it to my mechanics and they cant seem to find the reason for the leak. Also when I put the car in park I notice the needle goes toward H, but not quite.

The only place,on driver side would ether be a blowed head gasket,or intake gasket or coolant line running to intake.

I had similar problem. ended up replacing coolant reservoir. didn't leak until coolant got hot. also when engine cools off after engine stops it draws air in thru crack instead of pulling coolant back into engine, after a couple of runs engine is low on water and overheats. also because system is not pressurized because of crack in reservoir water boils at lower temp 212 deg instead of 220 or 230 deg. can't see reservoir to verify. if leaking fluid behind left front wheel most likely reservoir is cracked.. common problem
