The fan is essential for cooling the car and most times is also runs the water pump too, without it the car will overheat. Also nessesary is the alternator. However power steering and AC can be bypassed just understand that those systems will not work without the belt driveing them.
My answer to this was that I actually pulled apart the fan pump assembly replace the fan with electric driven fan. Then wired that in and as far as the pump goes I took it apart. Which was pretty simple actually and then on the inside there's a little finned out piece that I took and machined down and made it smooth capped off any ports and kept it sealed. That pretty much turned into an accessory pulley with a hydraulic background. only issue is if it starts to leak you either replace it or if it has a slight leak just refill the oil every now and again.
