2018 Subaru Forester CVT & Suspension nightmare

2018 forester xt touring (21,000 miles) car was okay for
5000 miles or so. Then it starts jerking and hopping, reving
up and down for no reason, refusing to shift. I had on cruise
control going 40mph on a good straight road the other day
when it hopped so bad I almost lost control of it in 5
seconds. Police stopped me, he thought I was on drugs at
first.  It stalls sometimes in very inconvenient places. The
suspension is in horrible shape, probably from all the
jerking and jumping, no? It cannot be aligned, its hard to
steer.  Dealer refuses to admit any problems until a part
breaks. What can I expect going into future driving this? It
scares me to drive it.

Apparently they are getting worse. This is the 4th Subaru I've had and most likely the last new one I will buy. It feels backwards to me, the car is double the price of my first Subaru and half the quality as well.

Wow I had all the same problems. I'm so disappointed in Subaru today. They used to be good and affordable. Drove well, reliable. Wtf happened?

Heck my 2018 has door seals falling off and AC blown out, surging ruined suspension like you probably. Windows roll down by themselves, stalling, eats tires when I drive like a granny, can't be aligned completely, battery leaks toxic stuff everywhere and been through 3 of them. Trunk won't open no matter which of the three buttons I push sometimes. I'm sure there are more issues I can't think of at the moment. I tried to file lemon law like others told me to but it failed. They must have purged records because I complained more than three times for same problems. Unfortunately my papers in glove box vanished too. Makes you feel Insane after so much nonsense. Hope you had better luck than me.
