Subaru Forester 2.5i cruise control loose speed control

My new Subaru Forester s.5i hasvery loose alignment with set cruise control
speed: less  6kph up hill and over by 4kph down hill. Coming from my 2011     
citroen which always sat within 1kph i find this very sloppy and has the potential
to get me speeding fine were we live. Any adjustments possible?.
