auto stop start

When i park my trailhawk the stop start turns the engine off, If I move the gear shifter to park and push the stop start button the car stays in run mode, it wont go back to off. I have to move shifter back to reverse of drive to restart the engine and then push off button again. Very annoying, any ideas? Thanks

Loved the2019 Forester, until I found out about start stop, was ready to buy. Will not buy any new vehicle. Will resist big brother. Keeping 2012 CRV until it dies!

Disconnect the Battery sensor attached to the negative clamp of the starter battery, no more stop/start and no more flat battery causing smart charging.
