2018 Dodge Durango AC issue

even during cold weather, while the AC power button is OFF, the AC clutch
keeps on engaging, maintaining cold air flow into the cabin. I counter this issue
by cranking the temp setpoint to HI to get by. Any suggestions on how to reset
the AC system without making a trip to the dealership? Thank you!

The AC compressor will run in cold weather if the mode is in any other position other than floor. They do this to dry the air to help keep windows from fogging in cooler temperatures. Now if the compressor runs all the time then you have wiring, relay or control module problems. Most shops can fix that so a dealer is not required unless you have a warranty that said dealer only in the repair section.
