18 Outback problem after update

Asked by Wkolacy Apr 24, 2019 at 10:46 AM about the 2018 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited AWD

Question type: General

I have an 18 Outback that I took in for the Harmon
Kardon recall.   My Samsung 8s would no longer
connect to Android Auto app after the update.
The Tech's Android connected right away with no
problem.   I was told that Subaru would say it is a
problem with my phone and not their issue.   They
ultimately undid the update and my app works
again.... however they will not give me any
paperwork documenting the visit or issue I had.
Has anyone else had a connection problem after
the update?

I would call up SOA and complain. Tell them the dealer will not document the issue. I would contact Samsung and see if they have a patch that fixes the issue.

Same problem here, I kind of expected problems and delayed the recall update as long as I could - but now I am struggling to get my Android Auto working again!
