i was driving home from work my timing belt sequels when its wet or cold i noticed my battery light came on and then i noticed my car was overheating and heat wouldnt come out of the vents when i poped the hood i noticed steam and a very weird smell coming from my car

That is your fan belt, not the timing belt. It may be loose or need replacing. Check the tension with the engine OFF!

thank you but what is the weird smell my friend said maybe a head gasket was blown or something

On your Mazda can squeal alternator belt only (it's loose, just to tight it up), thus battery light comes on. But about overheating that is different thing. Probably one of two radiator fans is failed or engine temp. sensor does not work, therefore coolant starts evaporate. Check these two things and replace, that will resolve your problem.
