fuel pump & filter labor hours

Asked by hobie16 Mar 08, 2022 at 10:26 AM about the 2004 Audi A4 Avant 1.8T quattro AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an Audi 2004 b6 avant 1.8t that needs the fuel filter and pump replaced.
My audi dealer (sylvania, Oh) wants to charge 3.68 hrs of labor for the pump
and 2.5 hrs of labor for the filter.. after looking at some videos on the filter.. it
looks like if could be changed in minutes not hours.. I m at a loss

So you finally found out dealers like to charge more. I'd swap it yourself or take it to a local mechanic for a better price.
