dash warning lights

just got the car the stop, tail, fuel, washer, charge, brake, lites stay on on the dash board plus a warning buzzer
I unplug the wire on the hand brake swich and that stop that light, unpluged the power to the washer but warning lite stay on. the rear stop and turn lites on the back of the car work, could this be each seperate problems or is one problem making all the warning lites come on?

All dash lights coming on in Mazda 626 - 1994 V6. While the aslternator is gradually failing - all lights come on and go off, When it has totally failed all lights come on and stay on and the cars is running on battry power. I had this problem and had to replace the laternator, after the lights stayed on and the problem was diagnosed as failed altornator by an auto repair shop. I hope this information helps.
